Our senior year, Pete and I went to ECU for orientation.  We both immeditely loved the Pirates from that time on.  The next year, our freshman year there, Pete did well and joined Sigma Nu fraternity.  He was very popular and before long he was the president of the fraternity.  Pete and I stayed friends through most of his life.  Many years later, he would come by my office just to shoot the breeze. Pete was a very successful stock broker with Dean Witter Reynolds until he became disabled way too early in life, probably when he was around age 40. He was always kind and caring and I consider it a privilege to have known him.

I remember Pete from Granville Elementary all the way through RJR. He was known as the "cutest guy in class" in 7th grade and I was once partnered with him in dance class; thought I was going to faint and probably stepped on his feet more than the floor, but he was too kind to mention it. So sad that he passed so young.
