I am sad to report that my old high school friend, Pam Byrd, passed away back in 2021 at age 76 years old.

I learned this after posting a satircal comment on the In Memory page of Melinda Lou Trevorrow, which told about some years ago when a bird flew into a reunion meeting at the Ogburn's house and we joked  that maybe it was Pam Byrd.  Upon reading that story, our great classmate, Mickey Cooke, was inspired to check on Pam and sadly, instead of locating where she lived, he found her obituay.  The link is set forth above.

Pendleton, SC

   Pamela Byrd Eskew Haulbrooks, 76, widow of Russell Wayne Haulbrooks, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021,.  Born in Winston Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late Milton Brady and Beatrice Therrington Byrd. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.  Pam is survived by her daughter, Paula Hill (James) ; and her grandson, Gavin Hill.

   In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Eskew and a sister, Donna Neil.

   Celebration of her life to be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be mae to Retired Police Canine Foundation.
