William Jennings Scott Jr., 63, died May 11, 2007, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, the Rev. Johnson Gupton officiating.
Scott was born in Forsyth County on Jan. 12, 1944. He attended Reynolds High School. He was a member of the Old Hickory Council of the Boy Scouts of America, an Eagle Scout and the only scout at that time to earn the God and Country Award.
He worked at the Archer Aluminum Division of RJR and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He graduated in 1973 from Wake Forest University with a bachelor of business degree, later becoming a CPA and real estate broker. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and the Lumberton chapter of the Star Touring and Riding Association.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, William Jennings Scott Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Thomas Scott; a son, Druid Scott of Graham; a daughter, Jennifer Scott of Graham; a brother, Bobby Lee Scott and his wife, Mickey; and his mother Marguerite Butner Scott Logan.
The family will receive friends at the church before the service.
