Dear RJR62 Classmates,

I received informartion from our classmate Bonnie Forrest that her twin brother, Dick, has passed away.   We don't know the details yet, but Dickie is  believed to have died several days ago at home in Winston Salem.  He had been suffering from multiple medical issues for a long time.  We know he leaves a wife, Jane Forrest, and two adult children,   Caroline and Tyler.  We, the RJR Class of 62 send our prayers and our deepest condolesences to Dick's family.  May the good Lord bless them and hold them close.

I remember Dick, or Dickie as we used to call him, from the early days as being a really good guy and one of the funniest people in our class.  I am sure he will be missed.  Thank you to Gene Petty, Cathy Traylor Sink, and Bonnie for getting this information to me.  When more informtion including the obituary is received, I will post it.

                                             Respectfully submitted,

                                              Danny Ferguson

Dear RJR62 Classmates,

As you recall, I notified you a few days ago about the  passing of our great classmate, Dick Forrest . Dickie died from a long illness and didn't want a funeral or an obituary.   Therefore, I can only say that we should all say a prayer for Dick Forrest and his family and if you like, light a candle for our classmate.   I suspect most of us remember what a fun guy he was back in high school.  He could make you laugh at the drop of a hat.  Also, if you recall, he spoke before the class at our 30th class reunion.  I ask that anyone who can to go to the  "In Memory" section of our website and write a short note about your memories with Dickie.

I  pray that the good Lord will bless Dick Forrest and hold him close for all eternity.

I remember Dickie as the twin brother of Bonnie Forrest. He was a funny and wacky person who loved to tell jokes, cut up and laugh. He was very sweet and kind to me. May God bless him and keep him.

What a shame! He was a good friend and a very nice soul.  I hate that so many of

our friends and treasured classmates are leaving us.  Now, we can only to hold them and their families in our hearts. I wish I had known he was not well. Bob
