This is to summarize the obituary of my friend, Bob S. Denny who I remember to be a really nice guy and a great basketball player.
Bob S. Denny, age 63, of Apex, NC died Wednesday, February 21st, 2007 at home following a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira K. and Nell Denny, and a brother, Horace K. Denny, all of Winston-Salem. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years; a daughter, Peggy Jo Denny of Raleigh; a son, Brian Denny of Apex; and a brother, Arlis Denny of Jupiter, Fla. Bob received a bachelor's degree from Elon College and a master's degree from N.C. State University. He retired from the Environmental Protection Agency in 2004 and was employed by Computer Science in Research Triangle Park.
A memorial service celebrating his life and homeging was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Apex Funeral Home Chapel. Thye Rev. Denni Peay officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorials be made to Hospice.
