My memories of Bunn Benbow go way back to Wiley School from where I remember Bunn as being a very kind, very nice, very unassuming person that everyone adored. I didn't see too much of him after Wiley but from everythng I can tell, he was like that his entire life.   I can only say that the good Lord blessed us when he brought Bunn Benbow into our lives. Our thourghts, prayers, and condolences go out to Bunn's family and we pray that our great friend, Bunn Benbow, rests in peace.

I invite you to go to the obituary itself and see the wonderful photo history of Bunn's great and impressive life, showing his wife and family and some of the things he did and the life he led.  I think you will agree with me that Bunn had a life well-lived.  The photo history left me with tears of admiration  in my eyes.

My sister, Carolyn Benbow Coker, RJR class of 1958 joins me, Butch Benbow, in thanking so many of you for your kind thoughts expressed due to Bunn's passing on August 10th. He fought his cancer for almost a year with that wonderful smile on his face that was so characteristic of him. He enjoyed life and all he met during his life. He throughly enjoyed building remote control airplanes, collecting guns and firing his black powder rifles. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Love to all, Butch

I was saddened to hear ot Bunn's passing, but also glad to see that he lived a good life.  He was one of those people in high school who could lift you up, no matter what kind of day you were having, just by being his own sweet self.  I know his loved ones will sorely miss him.

Vernon Benbow is my dad. I was doing a search for something else and happened upon the beautiful comments here from Uncle Butch and Dad's classmates. I am so blessed by this moment. Please... please keep taking the time to honor the memory of your classmates. Please say the things that are on your heart in the future. It is so good to read. My Dad knew God and I am certain he is living his best life in heaven. Praise God for good people and great dads. Thank you.
