William White Obituary
William "Bill" Vogler White
Dec 16, 1944 - Jun 1, 2026
William "Bill" Vogler White, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at Trinity Elms. He was born in Forsyth County on December 16, 1944, to the late Walter Lattimore White, Jr. and Virginia Vogler White.
Bill graduated from Reynolds High School in 1962 and continued his education at NC State University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After earning his MBA he began his banking career at NCNB Bank in Charlotte. He graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in 1979 and became Executive Vice President for Branch Banking for National Bank of Washington, located in Washington, D.C. He returned to Winston-Salem in 1990 and worked as a residential real estate appraiser until his retirement in 2014.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed target shooting, drinking coffee with friends, and was a member of the Forsyth Amateur Radio Club. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. He was such an avid watcher of "Cops," the nursing staff thought he was an ex-police officer.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Mary White Snyders of Lakewood, CO; two sons, Ross Vogler White (Heidi) of Durham, NC, and Taylor M. White (Sarah Beth) of Winston-Salem, NC; one granddaughter, Lila Jane Snyders; and a granddaughter expected later this year. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly White Spicer of Austin, TX.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Trinity Elms in Clemmons, NC, and the Vogler Family and staff of Salem Funeral Home and Cremations.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Salem Cemetery, 301 Cemetery Street, Winston-Salem, NC.

I remember Bill White as being quiet and a bit shy but a very friendly and likeable person. I have not seen him since high school, but from his obit, he apparently was quite accomplished and successful in life. May God bless our classmate, William Vogler White, and may he rest in heaven for all eternity.

I totally echo Danny's comments. I knew William at RJR and thought highly of him. He seems to have had a wonderfully successfully life, but I'm sorry it has ended. Blessings to all his family who must be saddened at their loss. I will say a prayer for you.
