In Memory

Betty Marie Disher (Robinson)

Betty Marie Disher (Robinson)

A while back, we lost our classmate, Betty Marie Disher, and with the help of our resourceful classmate, Nancy Crews Ash, we have learned the following: .  Betty was born August 26, 1944 and died at the age of 55 years on August 23rd 2000.  Betty was the daughter of James E. Disher..  On June 10, 1962 at or about the time of high school graduation, she married Larry Wayne Robinson in Forsyth County..  They had two children:  Pamela R. Garten and Dania Robinson-Balsley.   Sadly, Betty died much too young and was buried at the Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Stauton, Augusta County, Virginia.

I remember Betty as being a nice, unassuming lady that was well liked by all.  The RJR62 class sends its belated condolences to Betty's family and prays that she rests in peace in the arms of our dear Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.   If anyone would like to add to this, please go to the 'in memory' section or send your comment by email to me at dantferg@aol.com

Betty was a dear friend.  She, Betsy and I were the three musketeers during our high school days.

We were in contact for a number of years, but to my regret with the stresses of family and everyday

living time started slipping away, and contact was soon lost;  then it was to late.  She became ill and

past.  My heart reflects on the great times we had.  Betsy and I still meet for lunch and talk frequently

after all these years.  Special friendship are rare and to be treasured.  We speak of her often and laugh

and cry with our memories.  I count it a priviledge to have been a friend of Betty Disher Robinson.  She

was a precious jewel.

BETTY WAS A GREAT GAL, VERY NICE AND VERY FRIENDLY.  I REMEMBER HAVING LUNCH WITH HER AND SOME OTHER GALS IN THE RJR CAFETERIA.  SO SORRY TO LEARN SHE IS DECEASED.  AS WITH SO MANY OTHERS, I LOST TOUCH AFTER GRADUATION.   MARY LOU BATES FLYNT
