Although we were in high school together, I really didn't get to know Nick well until the 1980s when we found ourselves practicing law together in Winston Salem.  He was my mentor and counselor. and I got to know him very well.  I know of no finer lawyer or finer person than Nick Gordon.  He was a role model for any young lawyer searching for his way in the field of law.  He certainly pointed me in the right direction. He was the essence of  truth and honesty as well of ethical conduct..   On many occasions I would go to Nick on a case and he would always freely provide his advice and help.  It was my great honor and privilege to have known Nick.  I want to say that Nick was blessed when he married his beautiful wife, Karen. They loved each other with their whole hearts until the end.  May I say, "thankyou Karen, for taking care of this great man."  And may I further say, "Bless you, Nick, you have been a good and faithful servant of our dear savior and I pray that you rest in peace in the arms of our dear Lord. forever."  Amen!.
