Charles Edgar Veitch, Jr. of Waterford, Connecticut died on August 11, 2008 at the home of his former wife, Joan Veitch. He was born on March 26, 1944 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the son of Charles Edgar Veitch and Taurne Wolff Veitch He attended St. Andrews College, but graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, N.C. and was a life-long Tar Heels fan.He was formerly employed by Hydrospace Challenger and at MAR,Inc. from 1976 to 1993. Most recently, he was employed at Foxwoods Casino where he worked from 1990 until 2007. He was affilitated with the United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem and St. John's Episcopal Church in Niantic. He is survived by his children, Christina Veitch of Boulder, Colorado, Charles Edgar Veitch, III of Seattle, Washington, Geoffrey Wolff Veitch of New Haven, Ct. and Camille Nevada Cobb of Paradise, Texas. He also leaves behind his sister, Bonnie White of Camden, ME, his grandchildren, Tyler, Elise, Grayson and Summer Cobb and former wife and dear friend, Joan Veitch of Niantic, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions may me made to Mystic Aquarium or to Hospice of Southerastern Ct.
