Victoria Stone SUFFOLK - Victoria May Cockburn Stone, 64, passed away Feb. 21, 2010. She grew up in Argentina, the daughter of missionaries and spoke fluent Spanish. She later went on to earn her B.S. from Campbell College with honors and work as a dietician for MCV. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Vicki was predeceased by her mother, Violet Cockburn; brother, John Cockburn; and father-in-law, Leonard R. Stone Sr. Vicki was a devoted wife of 43 years, mother and much loved daughter-in-law. She is survived by her husband, Leonard R. Stone Jr.; daughter, Virginia May Stone; son, Leonard Ray Stone III, all of Suffolk; father, Dr. Samuel Herbert Cockburn of Winston-Salem, N.C.; sisters, Margaret Leonituk of Canada, Edna V. Green of Winston- Salem, N.C.; mother-in-law, Leila B. Stone of Suffolk. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the residence of Leila B. Stone. Parr Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
